"...sharing tools for the healing journey..."
FINDING RECOVERY AND EMPOWERMENT FROM ABUSE
FREA Finding Recovery and Empowerment from Abuse is a non-profit volunteer organization. Our Mission is to teach self-help tools and skills to empower people in recovery from abuse. On this site you will find resources: articles, real-life stories, and self-care techniques. We know that survivors of abuse are resilient, and given effective tools, support and information, can begin to heal themselves.
Healing from abuse is a journey. While it can take time and effort, it is a journey you do not have to walk alone.
WE WISH YOU MUCH LOVE AND MANY BLESSINGS ON YOUR JOURNEY
TO HEALING AND WHOLENESS.

Tapping Into Resilience
We are living in very crazy and uncertain times. Many folks have lost their jobs or are facing eviction. Many are falling back into old patterns ---- drinking and drugging or overeating just to cope. With people "sheltering in place," domestic violence is on the rise.
I am offering a free online webinar called TAPPING INTO RESILIENCE. These webinars are an opportunity to acknowledge fears, concerns and issues, get in touch with our bodies and minds, release stress and worries, and experience greater Wholeness in a supportive atmosphere.
The webinars are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:30 – 7:30pm PDT. All are welcome.

FREA IN ACTION
From Abuse to Empowerment
These stories from survivors who have successfully overcome abuse issues offer hope and support.
One night in the middle of an unhealthy relationship, I awoke with anxiety churning painfully in my chest. It was 2 am. I had no therapist, I knew it would take me at least a week to find one... I needed help in that moment. I thought, "I'll try that tapping, it can't hurt."
