Connect and Tap Out the Stress Response

We have an amazing stress system that protects us when we experience a threat. Without any thought, our system prepares us to fight or flee. If that does not work, we freeze and cannot actually move. The absolute last resort is flop when the system shuts down entirely.

Sometimes our system needs a little help resetting itself. This is especially true after an assault or in the case of repeated abuse. We may not be able to control others actions, but we can get ourselves to a safe place, connect with our internal experience, and tap out the stress response.

Let’s try the Trauma/Tension Tapping Together.

Follow the steps in the video. The video is also available at http://bit.ly/2GJW44g.
